SPONSORSHIPS
Q. What are the different types of monetary sponsorships?
A. BellSouth has two types of monetary sponsorships - large and small. "Small Sponsorships" are those sponsorships where BellSouth contributes $50,000 or less to support a local event or activity. "Large Sponsorships" are those sponsorships where BellSouth contributes more than $50,000 to support an event.

Q. What is the difference between a contributor and a sponsor?
A. When a BellSouth affiliate is the sole, primary or principal supporter of a function or event, and the event organizer would like to use the BellSouth name, mark or logo ("BellSouth Marks") on marketing material, then the BellSouth affiliate is considered a Sponsor. The BellSouth affiliate is considered a Contributor when BellSouth contributes money to an event or organization along with other local business, and the event organizer does not need to use the BellSouth Marks. In this situation, the event organizer does not need to accept the online click wrap trademark license agreement.

Q. Who do I contact to have BellSouth sponsor my event?
A. Contact your local BellSouth Community Relations office or your state's BellSouth External Affairs Office if you would like for BellSouth to participate as a sponsor for your event. For a BellSouth sponsorship of a sporting event, learn more.

Q. Who may download the BellSouth Marks from this website?
  • The BellSouth Marks downloaded from this site may only be used on advertising or promotional materials in connection with a Small Sponsorship event sponsored by a BellSouth affiliate.
  • The sponsorship fee cannot exceed $50,000.
  • All use of the BellSouth Marks must be discontinued after the close of the event and any reasonable follow-up publicity.
  • Pre-production proofs must be provided prior to the event date.

Q. May I use the BellSouth Marks without BellSouth's permission?
A. No. BellSouth Marks may not be used by third parties without agreeing to the online trademark license agreement or obtaining the prior written consent of BellSouth Intellectual Property Marketing Corporation. Any unauthorized use of the BellSouth Marks is a violation of BellSouth's intellectual property rights.

Q. What is the maximum period of time that I can use BellSouth Marks in conjunction with my sponsored event?
A. The BellSouth Marks may be used from the start date of the agreement between your company and BellSouth until the last day of the event. The longest possible period of use is one year.

Q. Can I modify the downloaded BellSouth Marks?
A. No. BellSouth Marks must be used exactly as shown on the Logo Slick Page without any alteration. Failure to display the BellSouth Marks as indicated on the Logo Slick Page will result in immediate cancellation of this authorization and termination of the agreement between you and the BellSouth sponsor.
